OUR PROGRAMS

One maker pathway, two levels

Every project starts from a real-world problem. Kids grow from curious explorers into makers who engineer working solutions. Not sure which level fits? Ask us.

Colourful machines built from construction blocks and motors
LEVEL 1 HANDS-ON FOUNDATIONS

Explorer

Solve everyday challenges by building — with mechanisms, robots, printed parts and simple circuits.

General engineering: structures, gears, motors and mechanisms
LEGO robotics: build and program working robots
3D printing design: design and print your own parts
Circuit work: LEDs, resistors, switches and motors
Students building and testing their own robot hardware at a NextBuilder maker class
LEVEL 2 ADVANCED · HARDWARE CODING

Maker

Take a real-world problem from idea to working device — custom hardware, real sensors and code.

Hardware coding on ESP32 microcontrollers
Industry-grade sensors — ultrasonic, gyroscope — and motor drivers
Power design: choosing motors and supplies, wiring safely
Custom 3D-printed mechanisms for their own robot
System-logic design, coding with an AI assistant
Big projects that solve a real problem, end to end
INSIDE A MAKER PROJECT

Building an autonomous vacuum robot

The problem: keeping a room clean, all by itself. Our makers took it from a plastic-bottle prototype to a robot that drives, senses and cleans on its own.

  1. STEP 1
    First prototype
A working vacuum built from recycled bottles — intake, exhaust and airflow.
  2. STEP 2
    Hardware coding
ESP32, servos and ultrasonic sensors; turning a sensor reading into a motor angle with a formula.
  3. STEP 3
    Plan the robot
Decision trees and pseudo-code to navigate a room and find the way back to base.
  4. STEP 4
    Design the parts
A 3D-designed drive system and a suction head shaped by the Bernoulli effect.
  5. STEP 5
    Build & test
Print, assemble, add a filter and dust box — real suction, tested in class.
  6. STEP 6
    Wire & program
Sensors including a gyroscope, the right power supply, and code built with an AI assistant.

HOW WE TEACH

Engineers who own the idea

01

Real-world problems first

Every project starts from a problem kids can see around them — catching the bus, a dusty floor — and ends with a solution they built.

02

Thinking before code

Formulas, pseudo-code and decision trees come first, so kids understand the logic instead of copying code.

03

Kids own the logic, AI writes the code

They learn to direct an AI coding assistant, give it the right feedback, and test the result on real hardware.

04

Real builds, not kits

Nothing pre-made: kids design, print, wire and test it themselves until it genuinely works.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES

Beyond the classroom

01

Startup Attachment

Kids get attached to real growing tech startups — working alongside founders, seeing innovation from the inside.

02

Pitch to Investors

A unique stage for young makers to pitch their ideas to real investors — building confidence and entrepreneurial thinking.

03

Global Innovation Tours

Educational tours to the world's most innovative companies — a first-hand view of where technology is headed.

WHO WE ARE

Founded by tech entrepreneurs

NextBuilder was started by tech entrepreneurs who work with new technology every day. We bring that experience — and our workplaces and network — into every class, so kids see how real solutions get built.
